On Thursday, April 23, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale hosted their annual Israeli Independence Day celebration.
At the event Borough President Diaz presented Rabbi Avi Weiss of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale with a proclamation commending his career at the synagogue.
