In Honor of Anne Marbury Hutchinson: Exploring the Hutchinson River May 2nd, 2pm

We’ll be doing a “walk and talk”: Eleanor Rae, President and Cofounder of HRRP,  will be leading the walk, and I’ll be giving a brief talk about Anne.
Now it’s ‘gearing up’ time, preparing plans for Anne’s 425th birthday anniversary, “Anne Hutchinson Year 2016”. You’ll hear a bit more on May 2.

We’ll hike up the Pelham Bay Park landfill to view the Hutchinson River and learn what’s being done to make its water accessible and clean. After descending the landfill, those who wish to continue will cross the bridge over the Hutchinson River. From there, we’ll walk down a trail toward the river and to the point where the canoes are launched for the annual fall cleanup of the Pell Wildlife Sanctuary.

I hope many of you will join us for this special event on MAY 2.
