Habitat for Humanity coming to the Bronx

A new affordable apartment building is coming to Williamsbridge thanks to Habitat for Humanity.

The non-profit group released renderings of the 60-unit, seven-story co-op building, which will be its biggest U.S. project yet.

Any family interested in buying a home at the Sydney Houses on Tilden Avenue should act quickly and sign up for information sessions because there is expected to be a high demand.

One condition is that everyone over the age of 18 must complete at least 250 hours of volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, but the maximum is 500 hours per family.

Construction is set to begin by January.
