EF Sports & The Bharati Dance Academy hosts Minions Day @ Bronx House

On Thursday, July 2, 2015 EF Sports and The Bharati Dance Academy hosted a fun filled “Minions Day” at Bronx House for the community and youth.

“I’m so excited to be here to see Despicable Me 2 movies and get the toys and have fun,” said six-year-old Keshav Kupasammy as he played with a few kids.

“Seeing the kids smile and the adults get excited, it shows that everyone in attendance cannot wait for the Minion movie to come out,” said Eliu Feliciano, Founder and CEO of EF Sports, Inc. “Having events like this is our commitment as a company. We always want to give back to the community,” He added while pointing around the room as families took their seats.”

The event was organized in a way where everyone got a chance to participate in a whole host of Minion-related activities with plenty of prizes and free giveaways.

“We have hundreds of youth who come every day to part take in summer camp and activities,” said Howie Martin, Executive Director of Bronx House. “This event is great for everyone and we are very happy to participate.”

For the first time since its installment, the projector screen funded by Council Member James Vacca was put to use to show the featured movie for the evening titled Despicable Me 2. The movie allowed all invited guests to see the characters before discussing the upcoming Minions movie – coming to theaters on Friday, July 10, 2015.

“We are delighted to be a part of this interactive event sponsored by two dedicated companies,” said Nathalia Fernandez from The Office of Assembly Member Mark Gjonaj, who collaborated in hosting the event and provided beverages for everyone.

“It is not often that we see so many people in one room for an evening of enjoyment without knowing each other and today we made it happen. Everyone participated in learning about the Minion characters, spoke a few words in the Banana language and got Minion goodies. It was fun, educational and most importantly, each person learned the value of giving back to the community and youth,” said Bharati S. Kemraj, Founder of the Bharati Dance Academy. “We promise you that we will continue to host events and activities like these throughout the year for everyone to participate in because our community is where we live and our youth are our future.”
