Bobbi Kristina Brown, Daughter of Whitney Houston, Died Yesterday

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late R&B singer Whitney Houston, died late Sunday night. She was 22.

The AP is reporting that the Medical Examiner said that an autopsy is planned for Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her death is being treated as a homicide. Her husband, Nick Gordon is being treated as a person of interest.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death comes nearly 6 months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub of her Atlanta home. Brown was the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston and entertainer Bobby Brown.

Last month, Ms. Brown was placed in a hospice due to her deteriorating condition. At the time, her family said, ‘She is in God’s hands now’.

A $10-million civil lawsuit filed last month accuses Bobbi Kristina Brown’s partner, Nick Gordon, of causing her life-threatening injuries and of stealing $11,000 from her bank account while she was in a coma. No one has been charged in the case.

PIX11 News is reporting that news of the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown will likely mean more troubles for her former boyfriend Nick Gordon.

“I think that Nick Gordon was not formally charged with murder since Bobbi Kristina was still alive, but now that she has passed on, there is more than likely a charge coming soon for, if not murder, second degree murder which is an unintentional killing that resulted in death,” said Melanie Davis, a former Fulton County prosecutor.

“The initial reports were that prior to her being found in the bathtub that he knocked her tooth out and dragged her upstairs by her hair … so that would at least be aggravated assault and aggravated battery,” Davis added.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was an aspiring singer who began performing with her mother as early as 1999, singing duets of “My Love is Your Love”. In 2003 they recorded another duet of “Little Drummer Boy” for a holiday album.

On Facebook, the family posted this picture and the following statement:

“It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers.”

“As Bobbi Kristina would say: ‘The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'”
