The Monroe College School of Business and Operation HOPE (in partnership with Popular Community Bank, NA), are continuing their collaboration on opportunities for entrepreneurs: FREE Small Business Development Workshops.

Conducted every Wednesday from August 26-November 18 from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the college’s Ustin Hall at 2375 Jerome Avenue (184th Street) in the Bronx, these thirteen sessions provide budding businessmen and women with the tools they need to launch and improve their businesses.  Participants learn about the advantages and disadvantages of owning a business, how to get started, build a business plan, and look for funding.

“This excellent collaborative with Operation HOPE and the benefit it provides for the small business community was highly successful in the spring and so we plan to continue to make it available on an on-going basis,” said Monroe School of Business Dean Dr. Ahmed Eshra.  “Students in the college’s real-world business and accounting programs as well as our MBA program have a great opportunity here because of the resources provided by Operation HOPE.  Maybe more importantly, the general public is invited to participate too, free of charge.”
