Vice Chair Crowley Welcomes New Albert Einstein Medical School Students to the Bronx

(Bronx, NY) – On Friday, August 14, 2015, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx), Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, delivered remarks at the welcome orientation for the new class of medical students at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Crowley thanked the students for choosing to enter a profession that will make such a difference to so many people, and wished the students well as they embark on the next chapter of their medical education. He also urged the new class to be engaged in the community and to get to know the Bronx and its people. Crowley, who is the author of legislationto address the looming doctor shortage, also spoke about his commitment to strengthen and improve medical education.

 

 

Congressman Crowley is the nine-term representative from the 14th Congressional District of New York, which includes sections of Queens and the Bronx. He is a member of the powerful Ways and Means Committee and serves as Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus in the House of Representatives.
