Blogger Gary Tilzer in his latest photo collage op-ed compares the thousands of Syrian migrants flooding into Europe with the seeming hundreds of homeless people streaming onto NYC streets. Tilzer questions the lack of general empathy for the homeless on the streets of New York City.
He says the tabloids are blaming the victim, instead of the real villains. Gary faults the 421-a real estate tax credit and Airbnb for causing New York’s homeless crisis.
