Michael Douglas To Receive AARP Movies For Grownups Career Achievement Award

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — AARP announced today that actor, producer and Academy Award winner Michael Douglas will receive the 2015 Movies For Grownups® Career Achievement Award. The Movies For Grownups® multimedia franchise honors standout filmmakers, actors, actresses and movies that resonate with the 50-plus audience.

AARP The Magazine will host the 15th annual Movies for Grownups Gala awards program, where 16 other awards, including best actor, best actress and best director will also be presented. Chase Card Services will be the Premier sponsor of the event.

Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the eldest of four children of actor Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglaslaunched his film career 50 years ago with Cast a Giant Shadow.
