New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie visited Monroe College’s Bronx Campus

New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie visited Monroe College’s Bronx campus to deliver a lecture that addressed the real challenges facing New York’s middle class and working poor families, while considering the long-term consequences of the state’s income and prosperity divide.

Prior to becoming Speaker, Carl Heastie was an adjunct professor at Monroe College, a role he held from September 2007 through the fall of 2014. Throughout his tenure, he taught introductory courses in the School of Business and Accounting, as well as political science courses in the School of Criminal Justice.
