Bronx, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) donated over 125 Thanksgiving turkeys to families and seniors in need in the 34th State Senate District on Monday and Tuesday at his annual turkey giveaway.
Senator Klein held turkey giveaways at locations throughout the district, including the Throggs Neck, Sack Wern and Pelham Parkway Houses. Individuals were also able to visit Senator Klein’s office and pick up a Thanksgiving turkey, a beautiful 14-16 pound bird to feed the entire family.
“Each year, I am proud to lend a helping hand to those who need it most. By donating Thanksgiving turkeys, I hope we can make families’ holidays a bit brighter, and help to make sure that those less fortunate have a turkey for their Thanksgiving table,” said Senator Klein.
