Bronx Rotary Club Hosts Black History Month Speakers Series

In February, Bronxites are invited to join the Rotary Club of the Bronx in its celebration of BLACK HISTORY MONTH. “Our club will be observing this month as part of our engagement with the community,” said TOBA Adeyemi LaCrown, President, Bronx Rotary Club.

Bronx Rotarians have lined up several speakers from the local community to celebrate Black History Month. Their pool of speakers range from educators, elected officials to the clergy:

Lori Baker, principal, PS 11X on February 2, 6 pm; Dr. Thomas A. Isekenegbe, president, Bronx Community College, February 9, noon; State Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson, February 16, noon; and Rev. Que English, Bronx Christian Fellowship Church, February 23, noon. The program takes place at Sammy’s Fish Box Restaurant, 60 City Island Avenue in the Bronx.
