State Senator Rivera to Host Community Meeting Re: Kingsbridge Armory Development Project

State Senator Gustavo Rivera will host a community meeting to discuss  the future of the Kingsbridge Armory project in light of the growing questions and concerns raised by community members living in the surrounding areas to the Armory. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the King Hall Auditorium at Monroe College.
The meeting will connect residents with a representative from the Kingsbridge National Ice Center (KNIC) and the city and state government agencies responsible for overseeing the progress of the project and upholding the 2013 Community Benefits Agreement. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from local government agencies playing a role in assisting community members and business owners with broader issues tied to the development of the Armory.
The purpose of this community meeting is to ensure that the community is well informed of any developments concerning the transformation of the Kingsbridge Armory. The event will help build a straight line of communication between the community, KNIC and the government agencies that will play a role in ensuring that the Kingsbridge National Ice Center becomes a thriving economic engine for the West Bronx and its residents.    .
