‘Jungle Book’ Roars At The Box Office

Disney made it rumble in the jungle at the global box office this weekend as ‘The Jungle Book’ earns an amazing $240 million, including $103.6 million in its number one North America debut, making it the second largest April opening in history and the highest April opening for a PG-rated release. Internationally, following a successful opening last weekend in a handful of countries, Jungle Book enjoyed an estimated weekend of $136.1 million, including a great 3-day $50.3 million start in China. Earnings the past two weeks puts the film at $290.967 million to date, reported comScore.
