Definition: (noun) A medical dressing consisting of a soft heatedmass of meal or clay that is spread on a cloth andapplied to the skin to treat inflamed areas or improvecirculation etc.
Synonyms: poultice, plaster
Usage: In an effort to reduce the inflammation, they wrappedthe horse’s leg in a cataplasm made of leaves.
