PGA REACH, the charitable arm of the PGA of America, hosted its inaugural “Secretary’s Cup,” on Sunday, July 24th at Fiddler’s Elbow CC. The 9-hole golf match featured military veterans who participated in PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) programming, a 6-8 week golf clinic that introduces golf to veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
The competition consisted of veterans from the Philadelphia Section PGA, the New Jersey PGA Section and the Metropolitan PGA Section. Veterans from Team Bronx were joined by PGA Professional, Nick Novak who was instrumental in teaching the HOPE program at the Section level. For more information on PGA HOPE visit www.pgareach.com.
