On Saturday Sept 24, 2016, from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM the Kips Bay Boys/Girls Club will host “Day For Kids Festival.” Part of the event includes honoring late Deputy Chief Steven J. Bonano, who was a member of their club and swim team. There will be a 1 mile run/walk for children that will pass his former residence at 534 St. Lawrence Avenue in the Bronx, as well as a 5K run in his honor starting at 9:00 AM.
