“Remembering Dr. Seuss 25 years after”

It was a room filled with laughter, fun and celebration in remembrance of the life and legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel, an American writer and illustrator best known for authoring popular children’s books under the pen name Dr. Seuss.

Hosted in collaboration with the Bharati Dance Academy and Foundation, Bronx Community Board 9 and the 43rd Precinct Community Council, the event engaged the youth and community in reading and discussion at the YMCA in The Bronx.

Throughout his career, cartoonist and writer Dr. Seuss published over 60 books. His children’s books like ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ were some of his most famous works.

The event including activities, art, musical chairs, raffles, costume contest, giveaways and a read out loud session of various Dr. Seuss books.
