22nd Tour de Bronx Kicks Off Tomorrow, 10/23

Tomorrow, Sunday, October 23, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., together with The Bronx Tourism Council, the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, Clear Channel Outdoors, Montefiore Health System, Bronx Lebanon Hospital and St. Barnabas Health Systems, will host New York State’s largest free bicycling event, the Tour de Bronx.

Now in its 22nd year, this special cycling event features more than 6,000 riders from across the region.

In addition, the 2016 Tour de Bronx will have a new starting point this year, with cyclists beginning their trek at Harris Field, adjacent to Lehman College.

Riders will ride a 25-mile or 40-mile route that travels throughout numerous neighborhoods in the borough.

Following the ride, cyclists are invited to the Tour de Bronx Festival at the New York Botanical Garden featuring live entertainment and refreshments.

9:00 a.m. — Cyclists arrive at Harris Field
10:00 a.m. — Tour begins
