THE 104TH ANNIVERSARY OF ALBANIAN INDEPENDENCE

We are excited the Albanian American Community is getting together for the upcoming Celebration of the 104th Albanian Independence and proud to see that over twenty organizations and entities, following last year’s tradition, have already come together and joined to celebrate this important day in our history.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Liberty View Plaza in Brooklyn, an iconic building with majestic views of downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Miss New York 2016, Albanian American Serena Bucaj and one of NYPD’s finest, Albanian American Visar Marku, will moderate the event. We are expecting a great atmosphere and outstanding performers such as Leonora Jakupi, Shkumbin Ismaili, Alberie Hadergjonaj, Haxhi Maqellara, Valdet Luka and many more surprise entertainers from far and near.
To make this event more memorable, we are encouraging all attendees to come dressed in traditional Albanian costumes, or simply red and black. We are reviving this old Albanian tradition in celebration of our heritage, and long standing independence.
