Crowley Re-Elected to Serve New York’s 14th District in Congress

(Queens, NY) – Today, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx), Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, released the following statement after voters in New York’s 14th Congressional District re-elected him as their Representative in Congress:

“It is my greatest honor to represent Queens and the Bronx in Congress, and I am humbled by the opportunity to continue to serve. I have been privileged to represent one of the most diverse districts in the country, and I will continue to fight on behalf of my constituents on the issues that matter to them most.

“Throughout my time in Congress I have put New York families first and I’m proud of my record of supporting job creation, expanding middle class opportunities, protecting veterans’ hard-earned benefits, keeping Medicare and Social Security strong, and working to make the Bronx-Queens community more prosperous and secure.

“In the next Congress I will continue to work for good paying jobs, affordable child care, comprehensive immigration reform, college affordability, and the opportunity for every American to retire with peace and mind after a lifetime of work. And whether it is working to address airplane noise, improving our schools, or keeping our communities safe, I will never stop fighting for the people of Queens and the Bronx.

“I thank the voters of New York’s 14th Congressional District for their support. I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to serve once again.”
