IT’S NOT SCIENCE, IT’S FACT!

Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, It is He who sits above the circle of the earth.”
In my devotional studies this past week, I read that the number of science books in the Louvre Museum in Paris stretches nearly three and a half miles. New and changing scientific discoveries either prove or invalidate previously believed theories. Because of these revolutionary discoveries, many of the books that were once considered fact, are now relics of a time long ago. An example of the shift is the belief that the world was flat. As late as 1492 AD, Columbus was warned to be careful so that he wouldn’t sail off the end of the earth. Another is the story of Adam and Eve. It was commonly believed in the scientific world that they lived thousands of years apart. But a study of DNA changed that belief as reported in Nature: “two major studies of modern humans’ Y chromosomes suggest that ‘Y-chromosome Adam’ and ‘mitochondrial Eve’ may have lived around the same time after all”
They could have saved the DNA research had they read, “Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: ’This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” (Genesis 2:22-23).
Science and humanism cite evolution and the Big Bang theory, while the Bible simply says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). If you read that verse carefully, you’ll see that God existed before the beginning. The sixty-six books that make up the Bible has stood the test of time and proven itself over and over again. It has not been proved wrong and cannot be ignored. It is our guide for daily living:
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Long before the theories of a flat earth and Adam and Eve living centuries apart were dismissed, the Bible had already made it known. It is not a science book. It is a book that declares everything owes its existence to the God of creation: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalm 19:1).
God is not a theory that can be proven scientifically, and the Bible is not a fictional account. It is the chronicle of all creation. That’s not science, that’s fact!
