Senator Serrano Honors the Life and Career of Congressman Robert Garcia

Senator Serrano will sponsor a resolution on the State Senate floor celebrating the life and career of former United States Representative Robert Garcia. Robert “Bob” Garcia passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the age of 84. Robert Garcia had a long career in public service, serving in the New York State Assembly from 1966 – 1967, the State Senate from 1967 – 1978 and the United States House of Representatives for New York’s 21st district from 1978 – 1990.

The Senator will present the family of Robert Garcia with a New York State Proclamation in his honor.
