Absentee Ballot Applications Available

Voting Booths

Going away to college? You can still vote in NYC’s primary elections. Apply for an absentee ballot before you leave.

The NYC Board of Elections and NYC Votes remind you to apply for your absentee ballot, if you plan to be away for the September 12 primary elections.

Registered voters who cannot make it to the polls on Election Day because of occupation, business, studies, travel, imprisonment at Rikers (other than a convicted felon), illness, disability and hospitalization or resident in a long term care facility, may vote by absentee ballot.

Voters can cast absentee ballots by mail or in person at the Board of Elections office in the Bronx located at 1780 Grand Concourse (near 175th Street).
