Chairman Crowley Statement on President Trump’s Continued Sabotage of America’s Health Care System
(Queens, NY) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) issued the following statement as President Trump’s administration announced it would severely slash outreach efforts for Affordable Care Act enrollment:
“Republicans focused for years on destroying the Affordable Care Act. Today, President Trump took yet another step to put that plan into action. The facts are clear: Slashing funding for Affordable Care Act outreach by 90 percent is an overt effort to sabotage our nation’s health care system.
“Republicans failed over and over again to repeal the health care law and now are resorting to bureaucratic maneuvers to secure a political win – even if it comes at the cost of countless Americans who will be unable to secure affordable, quality health care.”
