Chairman Crowley Statement on World AIDS Day

(Washington, D.C.) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) issued the following statement in recognition of World AIDS Day 2017:

β€œOn World AIDS Day, we remember those we have lost and those who continue to live everyday with HIV/AIDS. We have come a long way in the prevention and treatment of this illness, but we still have far to go. We must continue to invest in the necessary medical research, education, and treatment to stop the spread of the illness. There must also be increased effort to end the stigma many men and women face while living with HIV/AIDS. Today, we recommit ourselves to ending AIDS in the United States and around the world.”
