Chairman Crowley Statement on Election in Alabama

(Washington, D.C.) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) issued the following statement on Doug Jones’ election to the U.S. Senate:

“The people of Alabama have spoken. They have rejected extremism. They have rejected hate. They have rejected discrimination. And they have rejected Trumpism. Instead, they elected Doug Jones – an honorable, well-qualified candidate who will serve Alabama with distinction in the United States Senate.

“I want to send my congratulations to Senator-elect Jones. Today is a good day for Alabama and a great sign for what’s to come in 2018.”
