Winter Wonderland
by David Greene
Youngsters of all ages turned out for a visit to “Santa’s House” along the Metropolitan Oval in Parkchester. The Parkchester Community Recreation and Outreach first held their annual Christmas tree lighting on Wednesday, December 6, with musical selections performed by the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center Boys and Girls Club Dance Team. On December 9 and 10 Santa Clause and his helpers were on hand to listen to children’s requests for the holiday season. Santa returns to Parkchester on December 16, 17 and 23, between 12 and 4 p.m. and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to take photos with Santa.
