I would like to give recognition to three outstanding octogenarian ladies that bowl in the Van Nest Ladies Bowling League in the Bronx. Everyone who meets Jeannette, Shirley, and Doris have a great admiration for them for their energy, drive, and vitality. They are an inspiration to all of us and are the “stars” of women in bowling.

Some of us need a change in our team name to give us a little more enthusiasm to bowl so now we are called, “Wonder Women” and it is any wonder since we haven’t won a game yet. We do brighten up the lanes with our new shirts…that also came in handy as a Halloween costume. Keep trying ladies!
