Latino Victory Welcomes Luis Miranda as New Board Chair
New York political strategist will lead organization as it engages displaced Puerto Ricans ahead of November midterms
Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Project today announced that New York veteran political strategist and founding partner of MirRam GroupLuis A. Miranda, Jr., will serve as the organization’s Board Chair for a two-year term. Miranda will lead Latino Victory as it works to engage Latinos in the political process – as candidates as well as voters – ahead of the critical midterm elections in November.
Miranda’s chairmanship signals a broadening of Latino Victory’s scope of electoral work.
A native of Vega Alta, Miranda has been a leading figure in Puerto Rico relief efforts, helping raise more than $30 million to help the victims of Hurricane Maria, in partnership with the Hispanic Federation. At the helm of Latino Victory, Miranda will direct efforts to involve newcomers from Puerto Rico in the organization’s work, ensure they take full advantage of their rights as American citizens, and recruit and train them to run for office.a presidencia de Miranda señala una ampliación del trabajo electoral de Latino Victory.

Miranda, who has worked with three New York City mayors, brings nearly four decades of leadership experience in the public and private sectors. In 2000, Miranda co-founded the MirRam Group, a political consulting firm which played a key role in the successful Senate campaigns of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Charles Schumer,and Kirsten Gillibrand. He is the founder of the Hispanic Federation, one of America’s leading Latino advocacy groups
