Storm Fizzles Out in the Bronx
by David Greene
The second Nor’easter in a week fizzled out over the Bronx with under 3 inches of slushy, wet snow reported in Crotona Park. The latest storm, which pounded the borough on Wednesday, March 7, did produce a driving snow and strong wind gusts that brought down trees and power-lines in the area. Thousands remain without power in New Jersey and Westchester from the high winds of the first storm on March 1. The groundhog did predict it, but at least according to the calendar, spring arrives on Tuesday, March 20.
