Chairman Crowley Statement on the Supreme Court Decision to Undermine Workers’ Rights and Protections

(Washington, D.C.) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx) issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decision in the case of Janus v. AFSCME Council 31:

“Today’s decision is an attack on American workers and the labor movement in our country. Unions are at the core of lifting up America’s working and middle class families, by fighting for better wages and benefits and fair working conditions. Despite this unfortunate decision, Democrats will continue to push for workers’ rights and protect the unions that fight for them.”
