2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Amplified Bible)
“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
If you found the key that would unlock the door to untold wealth and prosperity, would you use it? What if there were no strings attached? To anyone who found the key, the vault would be open for them to take whatever they wanted. Not only were there material riches, but mental, emotional and spiritual riches that would allow them to live a life that would be filled with love, joy, and peace. How much nudging would you need to use that key?
Let’s imagine for a minute that there is such a key and that it is available to anyone who desired it. No digging around in archeological excavation sights, no armies to defeat, no rivers to cross, and no outrageous tests to pass. Let’s further presume that the key has been within your reach and in your sight all your life, but you never noticed it. Now, let’s imagine that someone put the key in your hand and told you that it can be used for “teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living” (Complete Jewish Bible). What would you do with a gift like that?
The Bible contains within its pages the very thing I am trying to describe. In its entirety, it is the infallible, incorruptible, supreme standard that not only tells us how to access the riches of this world and beyond, but also sets the standard on which our conduct, our creeds and our opinions should be built. It also tells us on what basis and how we will be judged for our behavior, doctrines and ideas. Contained between the books of Genesis (Alpha) and Revelations (Omega) you will find the that every word was divinely inspired by God Himself and that it is designed to lead us to salvation. You will find that every word is true from cover to cover and no error can be found on any of its pages.
It truly is the key to untold wealth and prosperity that are so much more valuable than the material wealth we often associate with the idea of affluence and success. The Lord’s idea of prosperity is much more expansive than the limited view we often have. In the Bible, you will discover that He desires not only that each of us to have earthly riches, but eternal security also. The key that opens the door of earthly prosperity is the same key that unlocks the door to the riches of glory.
