New York City FC Trades Jonathan Lewis to the Colorado Rapids;
Club Acquires up to $750,000 Targeted Allocation Money and International Spot in 2020

New York City FC has traded forward Jonathan Lewis to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for $650,000 Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and up to an additional $100,000 TAM based on performance criteria. The Club will also receive an international spot in 2020.

The transaction was completed before the close of the Primary Transfer Window on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

The additional international spot will give the Club a total of nine beginning January 1, 2020.

Lewis appeared six times in 2019 for the Club with one assist. Since being drafted in 2017, Lewis played in 31 games, scoring three goals and adding five assists.

The forward earned a United States Men’s National Team call-up in January 2019 and has made four appearances for his country this year.
