“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.””
Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV
Moses was now 120 years old and standing before the whole nation at the edge of The Promised Land. Moses tells them that he wasn’t going with them into the land, but his successor, Joshua was. They must have been frightening to hear, so Moses quickly gives them a strong word of encouragement. In summary:
“Fear not; God is with you; He will always be with you; He will never forsake you.”
We should likewise be encouraged. What kind of fear can overpower a God like that?
