Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association and Assemblywoman Fernandez Distribute Back Packs With School Supplies

Sunday afternoon hundreds of children and their parents came to Bronx Park East to receive a free back pack along with a large selection of school supplies. The Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association with Assemblywoman Fernandez handed out over three hundred back packs along with most of the school supplies a student could need.

Councilman Mark Gjonaj stopped by to drop off a few Albanian dancers, and various vendors gave out other gifts and information to the children and their parents. There were a few health providers on hand to sign up those who needed health insurance. The INCA Relief Fund also handed out bread/rolls and fruit to those after picking up their back pack and school supplies.

Assemblywoman Fernandez helped the PPNA load the back packs as children walked by.
Ms. Lisa Vujaj sang while the Albanian Dancers performed.
