Since the departure of Joe Thompson as the Executive Director of the White Plains Road Business Improvement District several stores have closed, and his replacement is nowhere to be found. I made several calls that have gone unanswered, stopped in where the director is suppose to work out of getting assurances that he would get back to me (weeks ago), called the broker of the closed Burger King with a possible new tenant, and have been told that the Executive Director is in hiding by a very reliable source.
Starbucks seems to be doing business on White Plains Road, but the two stores on either side have closed. Across the street Burger King closed, and there are other stores that are empty or remain empty. What is going on, with the White Plains Road BID?
