Street Co-naming For Pandit Vishnu Sukul

The corner of Westchester Avenue and Noble Avenue was co-named  Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way Saturday afternoon. Pandit Vishnu Sukul helped establish the Vishnu Mandir (Hindu Temple) at 1216 Noble Avenue in 1996, and was a pillar of the Hindu community until his passing February 20th 2019. In order to honor him Councilman Ruben Diaz Sr. put through a request for a street co-naming in his honor. On Saturday October 26th the corner of the street where his beloved temple was founded was co-named  Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way.

Friends and family sit with the ceremonial second street sign.

Family members stand at the corner of Westchester And Noble Avenues waiting for the cover to come off Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way.
The new Co-named Street Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way is uncovered.
