Street Co-naming For Pandit Vishnu Sukul

The corner of Westchester Avenue and Noble Avenue was co-named  Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way Saturday afternoon. Pandit Vishnu Sukul helped establish the Vishnu Mandir (Hindu Temple) at 1216 Noble Avenue in 1996, and was a pillar of the Hindu community until his passing February 20th 2019. In order to honor him Councilman Ruben Diaz Sr. put through a request for a street co-naming in his honor. On Saturday October 26th the corner of the street where his beloved temple was founded was co-named  Pandit Vishnu Sukul Way.

Friends and family sit with the ceremonial second street sign.
