Bronx Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Luncheon

This years Bronx Chamber of Commerce Veteran’s Luncheon went so well that President Lisa Sorin said we are ahead of schedule this year. It seemed the speeches were short and the atmosphere in the room was one of comradely. Master Gunnery Sergeant John Escalante (28 Year U.S. Marine Corps Veteran) gave a rousing speech as the keynote speaker gaining the attention of all the soldiers in the room.

This year’s honorees were Commander Adeyemi LaCrown Oloruntoba (U.S. Air Force), Colonel Joan R. Davis (U.S. Army), Commander Guy Richardson (U.S. Navy), and Sergeant Norman M. Thomas (U. S. Marine Corps). Bronx Chamber of Commerce Chairman Joe Kelleher closed out the event with a excellent rendition of God Bless America to a standing ovation.

The Bronx Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party and Toy Drive will take place on Thursday December 5th at the Pelham Bay Split Rock Golf Courses, 870 shore Road Bx N.Y. from 6 – 10 PM/ Call the BCC at 718-828-3900 for more information. The theme is an Ugly Sweater Contest.
