Northwest Bronx Democrats for Change

Just a few weeks after the New Loretta Hatch Democratic Club debuted there is another new Democratic club nearby called the Northwest Bronx Democrats for Change. While the Loretta Hatch Democratic Club is based primarily in the 86th Assembly District, the Northwest Bronx Democrats for Change is based primarily in the 78th Assembly District. Both Democratic clubs are within the soon to be vacant 14th City Council District (due to term limits), 33rd State Senate District, and the 13th Congressional District.

At the Democratic club initiation Sunday evening there were several elected officials, and a couple of wanna be elected officials for 2021 when most Bronx City Council members are term limited out. 78th Assemblyman Jose Rivera was in the house even with rumors that Oswald Felix was going to challenge him. Bronx Democratic County Leader Assemblyman Marcos Crespo welcomed the Northwest Bronx Democrats for Change as the Democratic club will fill a void ever since the Northend Democratic Club vanished after the 2013 City Council election.
