Union Carpenters And Contractors Donate $100,000 This Holiday Season To Families In Need
The New York City & Vicinity District Council Of Carpenters And The Carpenter Contractor Alliance Of Metropolitan New York Make Donations To 12 Food Drives Throughout New York City, Including Seven In The Bronx
Bronx, NY – The New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters and the Carpenter Contractor Alliance of Metropolitan New York are bringing hope to families in the Bronx by delivering turkeys to communities in need. These Thanksgiving activities are being done in partnership with New York State Assembly Member Marcos Crespo and Council Member Rafael Salamanca on November 25, 2019. The union is participating in 12 events throughout New York City, including seven in the Bronx. Their donation this holiday season will total $100,000 in foods and goods.
“It’s a pleasure to once again join the men and women of the NYC District Council of Carpenters to bless families in Hunts Point with free turkeys for Thanksgiving. This second annual event is a demonstration of the consistent commitment of our brothers and sisters in labor to give back and support families across our communities.
