African American Abrazo (Embrace) in New York

New York City Councilmembers Rev. Rubén Díaz, and Rafael Salamanca, District Leader Hon. John Perez, community leader George Alvarez, and community leader Ahmadou Diallo announce the celebration of the 2020 African American Abrazo ‘Embrace’ in New York State.  The annual celebration takes place this Friday, February 21, 2020, at 7:00 pm at Maestros Caterer’s located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue, in the Bronx.   

The African American Abrazo, an annual free event attended by more than 500 people, is organized by Rev. Ruben Diaz and elected officials in celebration of Black History Month. Distinguished members of the African American community will be recognized during the Abrazo night for their contribution, achievements, and dedication to the community.
