TONIGHT: Community Vigil for George Floyd: One Year Later…What’s Next?

Tuesday, May 25th marks the unfortunate 1 year anniversary of the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police in a horrific act of brutality, a stain within our law enforcement system. His passing is a constant reminder of the larger roles that we must fulfill in the greater community, and the need for each of us to use our platforms to enact a better change.

In memory of his passing and in remembrance of all other lives lost due to police brutality, Senator Jamaal T. Bailey and Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez invite Bronxites and others to participate in their Community Vigil for George Floyd: One Year Later…What’s Next? In addition to honoring George Floyd’s memory, we’ll have a conversation regarding the George Floyd Policing Act (H.R 1280) & the Andrew Kearse Act (S.400).
