Public Gallery Tour – Wave Hill Exhibitions at Glyndor Gallery explore the dynamic relationship between nature, culture and site. Public gallery tours of the exhibitions are led by Gallery Greeters on Thursdays and Saturdays. Visitors can expect an in-depth look at artworks on view in Glyndor Gallery and in the Sunroom Project Space, showcasing the work of both emerging and established artists in a unique environment. www.wavehill.org

Family Art Project: In the Path of Monarch Butterflies (On-site)

Family Art Project: In the Path of Monarch Butterflies – Wave Hill Monarch butterflies begin their migration in September, heading thousands of miles south. And some stop at Wave Hill along the way! With bold, painterly marks, make large-scale wings, using your whole body to push paint around the canvas. Set your monarch free on its journey by fastening your monarch wings to sticks, creating a visual display of spectacular monarchs migrating south. www.wavehill.org

Nature Walk: Butterflies in the Garden – Wave Hill Monarch butterflies are one of the few insects that migrate south to warmer climates for the winter, and they’ll be passing through the Bronx in September. Join naturalists and butterfly enthusiasts Paul Keim and Pam Golben on a quest to see monarchs and other late-season butterfly species in the gardens of Wave Hill. Wellness: Equinox Sun Salutations – Wave Hill Ground yourself and celebrate the beautiful sun that feeds us and guides our seasons, with Sara Hart from iHart Lens. This energizing practice is a sequence of sun salutations—a yogi’s version of a marathon. This symbolic tradition consists of 108 salutes, a sacred number. Public Garden Highlights Walk – Wave Hill Join a knowledgeable Wave Hill Garden Guide on a tour of favorite garden areas and fall highlights. Severe weather cancels. This walk ends at 2:45PM. Garden Highlight Walks are most appropriate for adults or young adults. Not intended for groups; maximum five people allowed to register together. Plein Air Watercolors with Wennie Huang (On-site)

Plein Air Watercolors with Wennie Huang – Wave Hill Art workshops are back onsite! Get reacquainted with the vistas and vignettes of Wave Hill in this al fresco watercolor series. Experiment with color-mixing, working wet-on-wet, layering and applying dynamic brushwork to capture the essence of the vibrant fall gardens.
