On Friday, August 19, 2022, hundreds of Bronx residents came out to a festive community health fair hosted by Phipps Neighborhoods’ COVID-19 Disparities Initiative at Crotona Park. This inspiring Day of Action event featured free health screenings, a Zumba class, a DJ, face painting, raffles, and back-to-school supply giveaways, along with PPEs and COVID Home Test kit distribution and referrals to health care providers.

Acacia Network was a health fair participant
“This health fair offered our organization a great opportunity to partner with community groups to bring health screenings, much needed school supplies, and a day of fun to Bronx families,” said Andre White, Executive Director & CEO of Phipps Neighborhoods. “This was a wonderful event, and we appreciate the support we received from both our partners and the community as a whole.”

Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda and his team distributed back-to-school supplies.
