Above, Council Member Andy King speaks at the Co-op City Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women’s 13th Annual Youth Conference. The Saturday event drew more than 250 youth and adults at the Co-op City Community Center.
Below, Assemblyman Carl Heastie and Councilman King are presented with posters created by youth from the Williamsbridge NAACP Early Childhood Education Center on East 219 Street . The posters were presented at a gala at the center honoring Heastie and King and hosted by the Williamsbridge Center’s staff, board members and parent advocacy council.
