Friends of Mosholu Parkland started here in the Bronx by daily park users of diverse and economic backgrounds sitting around the ‘circle of friends’ benches at 204 Street on East Mosholu Parkway South, talking about current events, weather, the good old days, and the changes on Mosholu Parkway such as demographic and usage changes that are effecting the physical landscape of the terrains.

A natural informal union developed and word spread around.

A positive reaction also came from members of the Community Board, Neighborhood Association including a large public garden. With these many supporters and the unity of the surrounding communities Norwood, Mosholu, Bedford and Jerome, the parklands surrounding the Parkway with hard work and dedication will succeed in contributing positively environmentally and improving  the quality of life for our community residents and those that visit the area for now and in the future. ” –from the Friends of Moshulu Parkland website

The group is looking for volunteers! Check out their website if you want to help out keeping Moshulu beautiful.
