Congressman Crowley Tours Sandy-damaged Edgewater Park Homes

On Thursday, April 24, Congressman Joe Crowley joined newly appointed director of New York City’s Housing Recovery Office, Amy Peterson, on a tour of Hurricane Sandy-damaged homes in Edgewater Park in the Bronx.

“While I am heartened to see many New Yorkers finally begin to rebound from the impact of Hurricane Sandy, the reality for countless families is that the road to recovery is far from over,” said Crowley. “I commend the mayor’s office for recommitting our city to the rebuilding process and I thank Housing Recovery Office Director Amy Peterson for meeting with Bronx residents about how to improve the Build-it-Back program.  I look forward to working with her to spur the recovery for many homeowners for whom relief cannot come soon enough.”
