The November 2014 calendar of events for the Pelham Parkway-Van Nest Library, located on Barnes Avenue between Pelham Parkway South and Lydig Avenue, is attached.

Some highlights:
* Book Buzz – A preview of new books being published this fall and next spring by Random House. Free tote bags, advance readers’ copies, and more! For adults. Monday, November 3 at 2 pm.
* Dinosaurs and Dragons – Learn the difference between fact and legend through stories and songs. For children of all ages. Monday, November 17 at 3:30 pm.
* Make Jewelry – All materials are provided to create hip and funky jewelry. For teens. Tuesday, November 18 at 3:30 pm.
* Van Nest Vixens Book Discussion – The first meeting of a new book discussion group devoted to books with a sultry side. This month’s book is Because You Are Mine by Beth Kery. For adults. Saturday, November 22 at 2 pm.
* Plus all of our regular story time, craft, science, discussion, movie, computer and gaming programs!
All NYPL locations will be closed in observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, and of Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 27.
