The neighborhood of Belmont, which encompasses the Bronx’s Little Italy, is not easy to navigate to safely by bicycle.
Bronx activists are working towards making Belmont, the first Bronx Bike Friendly Business District! It would better connect to the existing network of bike lanes both in and around the neighborhood. Bike parking and additional street infrastructure that works to create lively and safe streets would benefit not only residents, but also the local businesses and all who use the area. Over 30 businesses have already signed up as Bike Friendly Businesses, extending discounts to cyclists and/or requesting bike racks. LET’S GET MORE SUPPORT!
